Plush of Buick.
Buick Cars July 19th, 2009We have decided to devote this article to one of the US oldest brands - Buick. The main aim of these cars is to give their owner the feeling of plush and comfort. No wonder that since its foundation Buick caters for customers of retirement age. But today they produce SUVs and crossovers and are aimed at attracting the attention of customers who are young and full of energy.
The year of 1903 is the time when Davi
d Dunbar Buick, from Scotland, founded the company. The first car was built in 1904 and was called “Model B”. It had 2-cylinder engine. In 1907 “Model D” was created. By the year of 1914 cars produced by this manufacturer had 6-cylinder engines and were bought by the representatives of upper-class. And since that time all Buick cars are called “doctor’s cars”.
It should be mentioned that the system of four-wheel brakes was introduces in 1920th by this manufacturer. By 1970 Buick cars were really big and comfortable, so-called barges. But later they turned to smaller cars in order to meet the demand of the market.
Unfortunately, today’s car industry is in a poor condition. Let us hope that Buick’s rich heritage won’t be completely lost.
